Description

Join the GTM Research Reserve in celebrating National Pollinator Week. The GTM Research Reserve along with the Florida Native Plant Society, Sea Oats chapter, will have an array of displays and activities that educate all about local pollinators, as well as a native plant sale.

Featuring:

  • 10:00 am – “Native Bees and other Pollinators” a talk, by GTM Biologist Jaime Pawelek
  • 11:00 am – Movie about pollinators playing in the auditorium
  • Pollinator-friendly plant sale from the Sea Oats Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society
  • Sample and sale of local honey, including demonstration bee hive from local beekeeper, Joan Kramer
  • Highlights and information about other pollinators including hummingbirds, butterflies, and bats!
  • Tours of GTM NERR Native Plant Garden
