| Description | The October concerts will feature “An All-American Celebration” with selections from Howard Hanson’s Symphony #2; George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with guest pianist Joseph Williams, who is Music Director, pianist, and accompanist for the St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Jacksonville; and Aaron Copland’s “Variations on a Shaker Hymn”. Included on the program will be music of Richard Rodgers, Leonard Bernstein, and John Williams, with a repeat performance of the Orchestra’s 50th Anniversary commissioned work: “Aurelia” by Jacksonville composer Bob Moore. Admission prices will be $15 for Friday evening concerts at the Lightner Museum, and $10 for the encore matinee performances at Christ Episcopal Church. |
