The Rotary Club of Amelia Island Sunrise is taking reservations for its fundraiser “Cruising For A Cause For Polio Plus”, a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas aboard the Carnival Fascination, departing March 11, 2010 from Jacksonville. Rotary Sunrise will receive $90 for each ticket sold to help in Rotary International’s mission to eradicate polio in the world. For the past 20 years Rotary International is responsible for eradicating 80% of polio in the world! Bill Gates’ Foundation has donated $200 million to eradicate the remaining 20% and has challenged Rotarians to match his donation within 3 years. The cruise is open to anyone who wishes to support this cause. A $50 deposit is due, September 2nd, and a second deposit of $100 by November 4th. Final payment is due Jan 4th, 2010.
