Description

The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts 2010 Writers’ Festival will take place March 18-20, at the Jacksonville Main Public Library, Downtown. The three-day celebration features 14 authors from around the country who will lead hands-on writing workshops and conduct book readings and signings. Three-time Nobel Prize nominee, Joyce Carol Oates, will do an evening reading followed by a question and answer session on Saturday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. Other writers presenting at the festival include Natasha Tretheway, Patricia Smith, Ian Mairs, and many more!
The registration fee is $30 for students, educators, and writers 60 years of age or older and $50 for community writers. To register, download and complete the conference registration form from the website and send the registration fee to Jackie Jones, Creative Writing Department, at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, 2445 San Diego Rd., Jacksonville, Fla, 32207.
